If a case can be resolved without prolonged litigation (meaning numerous court appearances), we make every effort to do so. We counsel our clients to explore reasonable settlement options, many times with the assistance of a retired judge or neutral profession. On the other hand, we have a long record of favorable trial outcomes and appellate decisions so when divorce proceedings become contentious, we are known for getting successful results.

Mr. Kennedy has been recognized by the Hartford Business Journal, receiving its 40 Under 40 award at the age of 32. Further, Mr. Kennedy was selected by Super Lawyers magazine as a Rising Star in the law for the years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Less than 2.5% of attorneys under 40 years of age were selected for the honor. In 2018 Mr. Kennedy was selected as a Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers magazine. Less than 5% of attorneys in Connecticut receive this distinction.
Mr. Kennedy has served on numerous boards and committees, including the Board of Directors of the Bushnell Park Foundation and the Hartford Hospital Young Leaders Advisory Board. He is the Past President of the Georgetown University Alumni Club of Connecticut. Further, he is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Connecticut Bar Association, and Illinois State Bar Association.
Mr. Kennedy holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University (Washington, D.C.). He obtained his juris doctorate from Santa Clara University School of Law (California). He was an academic scholarship recipient in law school. Mr. Kennedy is admitted to practice in New York, Connecticut and Illinois.
