Daniel H. Kennedy, Jr. is a founding member of Kennedy Luce LLC.  Attorney Kennedy currently is of counsel with the firm.  Attorney Kennedy has litigated matters in the U.S. Court of Appeals (2nd Circuit), Connecticut Supreme Court, Connecticut Appellate Court, Connecticut Superior Court, many Probate Courts, and various and multiple state and local agencies. Attorney Kennedy has been a member of the firm and predecessor firms since 1973.

Attorney Kennedy has during his career practiced in many areas of law including family law, business law, personal injury, real estate law, zoning law, municipal law, and civil litigation.

At present Attorney Kennedy has primarily limited his practice to the area of matrimonial and family law. Attorney Kennedy is extensively involved in family law litigation, as well as appeals from family court. Further, Attorney Kennedy is a Special Master in the Superior Court system and has been actively involved in the settlement of dissolution cases through that program. Attorney Kennedy is additionally involved as a private mediator in representing parties in family law mediation.

His individual practice includes dissolution matters, legal separation matters, prenuptial agreements, post judgment matters and mediation matters.

Attorney Kennedy also has been extremely involved in litigation in Probate Courts within the State of Connecticut including will contests, conservatorship matters, power of attorney accounting matters and matters including breach of fiduciary duty and interference with inheritance rights. Attorney Kennedy’s practice includes Probate Court appeals from decisions of the local Probate Court to the Superior Court.
